Happy New Year!!!

 

 

Can I just say that I'm so happy that this year is coming to an end. I am just so through with 2014. Am I the only one? Anywho, so starting on the 1st of January I will be putting more time and effort into this blog and YouTube. I have slacked majorly on both and a lot of it was due to life changes and not having access to an Internet connection/ not being able to film etc. In 2015, I want to create amazing content for you guys but most of all I really want to be consistent. I think for anything to be great, it has to CONSISTENTLY be great. I'm just really inspired and feeling uber creative right now.  But besides putting more time into my blog and my YT channel, here are some more of my goals for the 2015:

 

1. LOOSE WEIGHT

      - Now, I have been saying this since I had my baby three years ago. And grant it, I did loose some weight last year but gained it back after I had my ectopic and lost my father at the same time. I really need to loose it for health reasons and because my ass wants to look good for the summer. I mean hellooooooo!!!

 

2. BE MORE FRUGAL

    - Sometimes I need NOT to be inpulsive. Especially when it comes to makeup.

 

3. FASHION OVERHAUL

    - I feel my style changing. I am getting older and I really am leaning toward more of a classic/ clean/ slightly prep type of style. I think this ties in with me wanting to be more frugal because I want to start thrifting again. I remember I used to get my best jeans from the thrift store.

 

4.PURSUE PASSIONS

 

5. BECOME HOMEOWNER

 

These are just a few. Do you have any goals for 2015?  Dont rest on them, go for it. We never know where our dreams might take us but we first have to act on them.

Yearly Roundup

I must say that this year changed me. I left a bad relationship. I learned a lot about myself and how to deal with  being a single parent. I found love again. I discovered new passions and awakened old ones. Its been quite the experience. Even though at times I got fustrated and at times I cried, I'm so grateful. I always say despite any situation we are never given worse, we are always meant to receive better. Im such a believer in that. This upcoming year, I want to focus on my goals. Really focus on them and bring them to life. I won't speak on those just yet but...... Im ready.

Investing In Your Talents

This year I chose to invest in my talents. I, like many others, have multiple talents and most of them allow me to be creative. I am a artistic person. I love writing, makeup, nail art, editing videos and photos, etc. I love creating. It excites me and makes me happy. Why not do what makes you happy? This is what I often ask myself when ever that inner realest rears its ugly head and says " But if you did "xyz" you would have a stable job with stable income." That is often my internal battle. I love the fact that I am allowing myself to explore doing what truly makes me happy but I still have that fear, like others, that I need to be doing something that will give me that automatic financial stability. Its not fun being broke. I had to check myself the other day when I was out with coworkers. I work at a hospital, so many of my coworkers have nicer cars than I do and other nice things. For a split second while riding in my car, I looked at their cars and the thought crossed my mind "How come they have these nice cars and I work my ass off and I don't have half of what they have?" Suddenly the thought occurred to me that I don't know what they had to go through to get them, what they are going through to keep them, or any other circumstance. I can't look at them and think that its greener because everybody has problems, material things are just surface.
I feel like I am going off topic. Let me reel it in.

Ok, basically I am writing this for myself and anybody else who ever doubts themselves,their life's directions, or what they possess or don't possess. Do what makes you happy, the money will come. When you are happy doing what you love, you go the extra mile. You are passionate, always trying to better yourself and whatever you are doing. Thats where I want to be. I am not saying that I want to be Ms. Flashy but I would like to have better than what I have. And I will.
I want to work hard doing what I love aannnnd have something to show for it.
Point of it all: Do what I love!!!!

I completed this look using one of my new favorite palettes by NYX called "Madeline's and Macaroons". This palette is great quality and the eye shadows have a smooth consistency which makes applying and blending super easy.

Miss Me WithThe Negativity!!

Honestly....at this point in my life...I don't have time for it. I feel so sorry for negative people who feel the need to try and dim the bright lights of others just so they feel a little better about themselves. If only they knew that trying to spoil my day, or being a constant negative force doesn't block my blessings, its doesn't block whatever thats meant for me, but it does block whatever good that comes to you. Trying to spoil my day or make me feel low,involves way too much energy. Thats is energy that could have been used being productive into making whatever you want in this life happen. I will never understand people who sink this low.....but maybe its not for me to understand. My prayers are with you. Stop being your own worst enemy. You get what you give.

Life Challenge 2014

2013 wasn't the best year for me. Though I accomplished a few things as far as starting a business on Etsy and getting a new job, the loss of my dad kind of put a damper on things. I have been majorly inspired by Shameless Maya. Her progress in 2013 was undeniable and motivating. I plan to make year 2014 my most fearless year.

Here is my vision board. I have done these for the past two years. I have accomplished a few things but this year I want to make it a point to accomplish all of them.

*Be healthy/get down to a healthy weight
*Pursue my passion and develop a career in beauty/ get my nail tech licensure
*Learn to invest/grow my money
*Have a successful youtube channel
*Be happy and surround myself with positive people and things

And for my ultimate goal:
BE SELF EMPLOYED BY 30!!

I am determined and willing to put in the work to make this year unforgettable to make all my dreams and passions happen. We have to truly believe that we are worthy of these things happening.

Can I just state how I am loving all the makeup looks for Beyonce's visual album. OMG!!! Blow is my fav video visually from the entire collection. I love the bright colors and the 70's/80's feel to it .I had to do a makeup look for this. Check out the video below.

Night Vixen

This is a new makeup look that is great for date night or a "seductive" night at home. The products used were inexpensive and this look packs drama but  it is so easy to do. Check out the pics and tutorial below.
